31st August 2017
On Friday the 29th September, from 10.00am to midday, we are hosting a coffee morning here at Hemswell Court as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
We would love you to come and join us for a catch up over a cuppa and slice of cake – and the money we raise will help Macmillan make sure no one has to face cancer alone.
All we ask is that you make donation for the coffee and cakes. You can also have a lot fun raising money with our raffle, guess the weight of the cake and our “cake off” competition to list just a few of the things going on.
Why are we doing it…?
There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. By 2030, it will be 4 million people, and Macmillan wants to be there for them all.
One in three of us will get cancer, and it will be one of the toughest things we’ll ever have to face. Macmillan’s goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone.
They provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, they’re there for friends and family too.
